2019-20 SEMO Conference all-conference boys basketball awards released
The 2019-2020 SEMO Conference all-conference boys basketball awards have been released.
Sikeston senior Payton Howard is the SEMO Conference Boys Basketball Player of the Year. Howard, who has signed to play baseball at St. Louis University, led the conference in scoring with 175 points in regular-season conference action. He averaged 22 points per conference game.
Kennett sophomore Ben McMullan was selected SEMO Conference Boys Basketball Free-Throw Percentage Leader. McMullan made 48 of 61 free throws in regular-season conference affairs.
Kennett coach Andrew Halford is the SEMO Conference Boys Basketball Coach of the Year. Kennett went 4-4 in regular-season conference action and finished 20-8 overall under Halford. It is the most SEMO Conference wins Kennett has secured since it rejoined the conference in the 2013-14 season.
Cape Central senior Doreante Tucker, Cape Central senior Tyrus Reddin, Charleston senior Blessin Kimble, Charleston senior Samuel Bledsoe, Charleston senior Terridean Bogan, Kennett senior Jackson Henfling, Notre Dame senior Tyler Landewee, Notre Dame senior Justice Thoma, Notre Dame junior Caleb LeGrand, and Sikestonís Howard were selected all-conference.
Kennettís McMullan, Dexterís Andrew Ellinghouse, Jacksonís Lane Crowden, New Madrid County Centralís Christen Phillips, New Madrid County Centralís Kevon Williams, Poplar Bluffís Joseph Hardimon, and Sikestonís Clark Steward received honorable mention.
