2019 All-Southeast Missourian Boy's Soccer Team

Editor's note: Selection to the All-Southeast Missourian Team does not necessarily constitute selection to the Semoball Award finalists for football.

The selection of the 2019 All-Southeast Missourian Boyís Soccer Team was as difficult as getting a victory against one of the several high-quality squads that took the pitch throughout the area last season.

Here is the elite squad:

Kaya Newkirk, Cape Central

The Tiger senior graduated as the programís all-time leading scorer with 70 career goals, including 40 last fall. He was First Team All-Region and All-District.

Lucas Grammer, Cape Central

The senior was the Tigersí top defensive player and helped Cape win 15 games. He was named First Team All-Region and All-District.

Chalon Domain, Jackson

The dynamic forward helped the Indians win 14 games and was named First Team All-District.

Will Essner, Jackson

The sophomore midfielder helped Jackson earn a share of the SEMO Conference title and was named All-District.

Mason Grindstaff, Jackson

The sophomore midfielder helped the Indians to a runner-up finish in the District and was named All-District.

Jake Young, Notre Dame

The Bulldog junior helped his team win 16 games and a share of the SEMO Conference title. He was named Third Team All-State and First Team All-Conference.

Tommy Taylor, Notre Dame

The Bulldog junior played a key role in helping Notre Dame to a Class 2 District 1 title. He was named First Team All-State, First Team All-Region, First Team All-Conference, and First Team All-District.

Brent Vandeven, Notre Dame

The Bulldog senior was critical to his teamís winning a share of the SEMO Conference title and was named First Team All-District, First Team All-Conference, First Team All-State, First Team All-Region.

Austin Welk, Perryville

The senior Pirate helped his team win 17 games and a runner-up finish in Class 2 District 1. He was named First Team All-District, First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Region, and Second Team All-State.

Paul Adams, Saxony Lutheran

The Crusader junior helped his team win the Class 1, District 1 championship and was named All-District, All-Region, and First Team All-State.
