Sikeston wrestlers defeat Kennett 47-21, on senior night

SIKESTON — Sikeston earned three pinfall victories in its 47-21 win over Kennett on Wednesday evening at the Sikeston Field House.

At 106 pounds, Jacob Leavitt pinned Gavin Patterson in 33 seconds, while Blayne McDermott pinned Ethan Davis, in 1:08, in a 113-pound bout.

The Indians would get on the board, at 132 pounds, as Chase Malone defeated Asa Douglass, pinning him in 32 seconds. Tyler Preston then defeated Blaze Chanley by a 10-4 decision, at 138 pounds for Kennett’s second-straight win.

At 160 pounds, Dominic Mullin defeated Otrevian Walls, by pinfall, in 1:19, while Kennett returned the favor and won the next two matches by pinfall as well. At 170 pounds, Lorenzo Thomas defeated Isaac Griggs in 46 seconds, while Hayden Higgins defeated Mark Fisher at 1:31.

Brian Tims concluded the night on-the-mat, with a 15-0 technical fall win, in 4:19, over Joshua Haywood, at 195 pounds.
