Bernie among 11 state-ranked basketball teams in Southeast Missouri

The Bernie Mules dropped a spot to No. 9 in Class 2 in the latest Missouri Basketball Coaches Association boys basketball poll.

Greenwood remains in the top spot.

Ten other Southeast Missouri teams have been ranked.

Delta debuted at No. 7 in the Class 1 boys poll after upsetting Class 2 state-ranked Oran 81-78 Jan. 3.

Oran remains No. 3 in Class 2.

Charleston dropped two spots to No. 3 in Class 3 after losing 71-63 to Sikeston on Jan. 10. Blair Oaks took over the top spot.

Kennett is No. 7 in Class 3.

Three SEMO Conference teams are ranked in the Class 4 top 10. Notre Dame is seventh, Cape Central ninth and Sikeston 10th.

Vashon remains at No. 1.

For Class 2 girls, Ellington and Neelyville remain at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively. Tarkio with Fairfax is No. 1.

Jackson is ranked 10th in Class 5 for a second straight week. Jefferson City is the top-ranked team.
