STATESMAN ROUNDUP: Asberry, Pullen reach double figures in Dexter girls basketball's loss to Farmington

Dexter’s Sydney Asberry and Dulcie Pullen combined for 28 points, but Farmington proved too much for the Bearcats in a 76-44 win Thursday night in Farmington.

Asberry scored a team-high 15 points, and Pullen added 13 for the Bearcats, who fell to 2-10.

Roth paced Farmington with 17 points.

Farmington held quarter leads of 17-8, 35-22 and 58-31.

Holcomb 46, Bloomfield 20

The Holcomb girls basketball team outscored the Bloomfield Wildcats by 21 points in the second half en route to a 46-20 victory Thursday night at Bloomfield High School.

The Hornets led 8-2 after one quarter and 18-12 at halftime before outscoring Bloomfield 29-8 in the second half.

Selena Burress scored a game-high 23 points for Holcomb (7-5) and Bailey Cupples had 16.

Jenna Yates paced Bloomfield (0-8) with a season-high 10 points and Adison Musgrave had nine.
