DDD BOYS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Risco rallies past South Pemiscot, Campbell & Caruthersville collect wins

Risco 57, South Pemiscot 51

STEELE, Mo. - The Risco Tigers varsity boys basketball team won the final eight minutes of regulation by nine points as it rallied past South Pemiscot 57-51 Tuesday.

South Pemiscot led 15-12 after one quarter, Risco led 29-25 at halftime, and South Pemiscot led 43-40 at the end of the third quarter of the see-saw battle.

Risco guard Kamron Meese tallied nine of his team-high 17 points in the fourth quarter. Evan Pipkin added 15 points. Andrew Rodgers scored a dozen points, and Hayden Ludwig tallied 11 points for the Tigers.

Shawn Kinon knocked down two field goals in every quarter. He paced South Pemiscot with 17 points.

Terryon Johnson also scored in double digits for South Pemiscot with 14 points.

South Pemiscot (4-6) hosts North Pemiscot Thursday.

Risco (4-6) hosts Bell City Thursday.

Campbell 92, Cooter 30

COOTER, Mo. - The Campbell Camels varsity boys basketball team increased its winning streak to six games as it beat the Cooter Wildcats 92-30 Tuesday night.

Campbell led 30-4 after one quarter, increased its lead to 50-17 by halftime, and led 82-26 by the end of the third quarter.

Jacob Vines recorded a game-high 30 points for Campbell. Blake Fowler added 17 points, Charlie Parker scored 16 points, and Kaden Siebert tallied 14 points. All four of the Camels' top scorers hit at least one 3-pointer.

Jacob Watkins paced Cooter with nine points.

Cooter (5-4) visits Southland Thursday.

Campbell (8-2) hosts Holcomb Friday.

CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. - The Caruthersville Tigers varsity boys basketball team knocked down 30 field goals as it shot its way past the visiting Malden Green Wave 68-39 Tuesday night.

Caruthersville led 21-12 after one quarter and 33-25 at halftime before it won the third quarter by 16 points to increase its lead to 52-28 by the start of the fourth quarter.

Billy Cobb and Maliek Chalmers paced Caruthersville with a dozen points each. Isiah Rodgers and Devin Russell added 10 points apiece for the Tigers.

Coy Wade tallied 10 of his team-high 13 points for Malden before halftime. Sientez Lerma also finished in double digits with a dozen points.

Malden (3-7) hosts South Pemiscot Friday.

Caruthersville (5-3) visits Portageville Friday.
