SD ROUNDUP: Barnett leads Sikeston to consolation title win; Allen drops 25 in Saturday's semifinal

O’FALLON, Mo. — Taydrianna Barnett led all scorers, with 25, as the Sikeston girls basketball team defeated St. Dominic to win the consolation championship of the St. Dominic Christmas Tournament on Monday.

Karris Allen added 13 points, while Amyari Blissett had eight and Camryn Self two, in the Lady Bulldogs 48-36 win.

Ellie Cook led St. Dominic with 13 points, while Alexandra Zoellner and Lily Brengarth each had five. Delaney Smith and Makinley Miller each followed up with three each, while Victoria Forbeck, Jessica Larson, and Kennedy Mueller all had two.

Sikeston 50, Timberland 44

O’FALLON, Mo. — Karris Allen’s 25-point effort lifted the Sikeston girls basketball team to a 50-44 win over Timberland in the consolation semifinals of the St. Dominic Christmas Tournament on Saturday.

Allen made four three-pointers in the game, leading the team in that regard.

Taydrianna Barnett added 12 points, while Armani Hodges had eight, Shania Hodges three, and Amyari Blissett two.

Madison Carroll led Timberland with 19 points. Amaya Honore’ was close behind, with 13.
