Senath-Hornersville graduate Kyle Moore named Association of Independent Institutions Basketball Player of the Week

Helping lead the Crowley's Ridge College (Ark.) men's basketball program to its first victory over an NAIA nationally ranked opponent has earned junior guard Kyle Moore the Association of Independent Institutions Player of the Week Award.

The Cardwell, Mo., native, who played high school basketball at Senath-Hornersville High School, scored 24 points as the Pioneers upset NAIA Division I No. 10-ranked John Brown University (Ark.) 57-55 Saturday.

Moore was clutch down the stretch, making three free throws in the final minute to seal the historic victory.

Besides his scoring performance, Moore also grabbed six rebounds, dished out five assists and recorded two steals in the game. He made seven of his 15 shots, including five of 10 from behind the 3-point arc.

Moore is averaging 12 points per game for the season, making 43.9 percent of his 3-point field goals.

Crowley's Ridge College of Paragould (Ark.) currently supports a record of 4-8.
