Kennett boys basketball named top seed for Bloomfield Christmas Tournament

The Kennett boys basketball team was voted the top seed for the 63rd Bloomfield Christmas Tournament on Sunday at Bloomfield High School.

The Indians carried a 4-2 record into the seed meeting after finishing fourth in the SEMO Conference Tournament last week and winning the Gideon tournament two weeks ago.

Undefeated Bernie received the No. 2 seed, and Dexter was seeded No. 3.

Portageville was seeded fourth, defending tournament champion Hayti fifth, Doniphan sixth, Van Buren seventh, Malden eighth, East Prairie ninth, Gideon 10th, Twin Rivers 11th, South Pemiscot 12th, Bloomfield 13th, Puxico 14th, Holcomb 15th and Richland 16th.

Admission will be $5 for fans 6 years or older. A day pass, which includes in-and-out privileges, will cost $8.
