SD ROUNDUP: Goodale drops 30, Eagles rout Risco; East Prairie picks up first win of the season behind Moore’s 18 points
ORAN, Mo. — Continuing its winning ways, the Oran boys basketball team routed Risco on Tuesday night.
The Eagles outscored the Tigers 22-9 in the fourth quarter on their way to an 87-57 win at Oran High School.
Tyson Goodale led all scorers with 30 points.
Todd Priggel added 17, while Cooper Priggel had 15 and Langdon Scheeter pitched-in with 11. Sam Shoemaker finished with six points of his own, while Ty Johnson had four, and Diesel Cato and Nic Romas each had two.
Andrew Rodgers led Risco with 21 points. Evan Pipkin added 15, while Kamron Meese finished with 11, and Hayden Ludwig had 10.
East Prairie 61, Chaffee 27
CHAFFEE, Mo. — Harrison Moore started his senior season off on the right foot Tuesday night.
Moore scored a game-high 18 points, as East Prairie defeated Chaffee 61-27.
Jase Aycock added 12 points to the cause, while Garrison Scott had nine, Thomas Cade and Evan Howell each had seven, Jack Scruggs dropped four, and Cooper Towe had two.
Peyton Atkins led Chaffee with nine points. Drew Swinford added six, while Alec Brown, Malaki Fitzgerald, and Wyatt Parker all had four.
Caruthersville 58, Kelly 55
CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. — Gavin Jansen continued his excellent start to the season by scoring 19 points in Kelly’s loss to Caruthersville on Tuesday.
Jansen’s efforts weren’t enough, though, as the Hawks fell to the Tigers 58-55. Devin Heuring scored 12 points for Kelly, while Joel McClain and Jay Noon each had seven, and Drew Dirnberger and Bryce Morgan each added five.
Brandon Fonda led the Tigers with 22 points. Billy Cobb finished with 15, while Devin Russell had six, Desmond Davis five, and Devante Hamilton and Zhamius Smith, each with four.
Hayti 74, Scott Central 37
SIKESTON — Three Scott County Central players scored in double-figures on Tuesday, as the Braves fell to Hayti 74-37.
Bralyn Porter led the team with 14, while Shemaur Baker and Jeremiah Watkins each had 11. Colton Vance finished with six points, while Keron Banks added two.
Trevontae Stevenson led Hayti with 21 points. TreCharles McCoy added 14, while Trayvon Thomas finished with 13, and Jaden Wilburn had 10.
Quindale Malone and Adreian Stevenson each added five points as well, while Roy Presberry had four and Lee Taylor two.
Scott Central 70, South Pemiscot 20
STEELE, Mo. — Samantha Coffee and Bre’asia Jones have been the mainstays atop the leading scorers for Scott County Central this season.
The two seniors combined for 42 points on Tuesday, as the Bravettes defeated South Pemiscot 70-20.
Coffee had 22 points on 6 of 17 shooting and added 12 rebounds. Jones had 20 points on 8 of 14 shooting, to go along with six rebounds, six assists, and four steals.
Micah Adams finished with 16 points, while Kyla Pearson had seven. Rita Meeker had three points but did most of her work on-the-glass, where she hauled-in 11 rebounds.
Timiyah Winston also saw action and scored two points, to go along with three rebounds and one assist.
