SD ROUNDUP: Oran, Kelly both win easily in first round of Chaffee Lady Red Devils Invitational; Charleston wins by one point against Hayti
CHAFFEE, Mo. — Oran dominated it’s way past Puxico in the first round of the Chaffee Lady Red Devils Invitational on Monday.
The Lady Eagles won 65-1, as three players reached double-figures in scoring.
Kaylee Payne led the way with 13 points, two rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Katie Webb had 12 points, four rebounds, and two steals, and Heather Gosche added 10 points, to go along with one rebound, three assists, and three steals.

Kelly 53, Chaffee 30
CHAFFEE, Mo. — After a slow first quarter, Kelly picked up the pace against Chaffee, in the first round of the Chaffee Lady Red Devils Invitational on Monday.
The Lady Hawks won 53-30, with Alaney Moore leading the way with 21 points. Allison Owens finished with 12, while Mallory Glastetter and Elly Pattengill each had eight, and Jasmine Lee and Kiya Lambert each had two.
Brooke Kilburn and Braelyn Pobst each led Chaffee with eight points each. Lauren Wagoner had five, while Jayden Welch finished with four, Charlie Carlton three, and Baylee Elfrink two.
Charleston 48, Hayti 47
CHARLESTON, Mo. — Ashanti Jones led the way for the Charleston girls’ basketball team on Monday against Hayti.
Jones had 19 points, as the Lady Bluejays edged the Lady Indians 48-47.
Mistavia Murray finished with 13 points for Charleston, while Danisha Jackson had six, Zakiyah Ware five, Dymond Williams three, and Jorianna Mixon two.
Amiya Johnson led all scorers with 21. Stemaiya Robinson added 19, while Kiondra Downey finished with six, and Romeka Jones had one.
Twin Rivers 59, Portageville 29
BROSELEY, Mo. — Monday was a rough night for the Portageville girls’ basketball team.
The Lady Bulldogs lost to Twin Rivers 59-29, as the Lady Royals provided too many weapons.
Abbey Hester led the team with 23 points, while Jaylynn Williams finished with 17. Taylor Watson added seven, while Alissa Austin finished with six, Madyson Foust three, Emma Thurman two, and Brianna South one.
Garielle Madison led Portageville with 10. Jauslyn Johnson added seven, while Amiyah Saxton finished with six, Chrissy Thomas four, and Hailey Tipler two.
