SD ROUNDUP: Oran Invitational kicks off with three games; NMCC girls basketball rebounds with win over Hayti
ORAN, Mo. The 64th Annual Oran Invitational Tournament kicked off Monday with No. 1-seed Oran facing No. 8-seed Bell City.
Oran stepped on the gas pedal quickly, leading 30-6 after the first quarter and 52-16 at halftime, in the Eagles 81-34 win.
Langdon Scheeter led Oran (1-0) with 21. Cooper Priggel and Tyson Goodale added 15 points each, while Ty Johnson had 14 and Todd Priggel 11 to round out the double-digit scorers for the Eagles.
Luke Nichols led Bell City with 15 points.

ORAN, Mo. Four players scored double-figures for Kelly in the final game of the opening round of the Oran Invitational Tournament Monday.
Drew Dirnberger led the team with 24, Gavin Jansen added 16, Bryce Morgan had 12, and Joel McClain had 11 for the Hawks, in a 71-37 rout.
Kelly (2-0) trailed by one after the first quarter, but battled back and only allowed two points in the second to hold a 25-14 lead at halftime.
Jagger Sadler led Chaffee with 14 points, while Wyatt Parker added 10.

The senior had 24 points for the Lady Bluejays, scoring most of her points in the second quarter. She had 10 in the period as Charleston (2-0) took a 37-15 lead into halftime.
Zycaisha Williams added 17 points, while Mistavia Murray finished with 13.

The Lady Eagles won 48-34 behind double-digit scoring from Shakyra Wright and Ayannah Ruff. Wright had 16, while Ruff finished with 14.

SIKESTON Leading by one point after the first quarter and heading into halftime, the second half turned out to be a much different story for the Sikeston freshman boys basketball team on Monday.
The Bulldogs outscored Dexter 13-2 in the period, en route to a 40-25 win.
Justis Taylor led Sikeston with 10 points. Creighton Sarakas and Brendon Hamilton each had seven, while Harrison Arndt added four.
Morgan McCauley and Brayon Hamilton finished with three, while Trayvon Dukes, Mike Coaker, and Joe Alexander all had two points.
