The Southeast Missouri State softball program didn't have to search far in order to bolster its talent.

The Redhawks added Oran senior Kaylee Payne Monday, as she signed a national letter of intent to play for the program.

Payne played both infield and pitched for the Eagles and hit .580 during her junior season.

She also showed her athleticism by stealing 38 bases in 39 attempts.

Payne has been recognized as an All-District and All-Region selection each of her three seasons.

As a sophomore, Payne was an All-State selection and was a Second Team honoree as a freshman and junior.
