2019 Bootheel Conference all-conference volleyball awards released
The 2019 Bootheel Conference volleyball awards have been released.
Campbell junior Anna Beth Vancil is the 2019 Bootheel Conference Player of the Year.
“I’m very excited about being chosen for the award and honored that the other coaches selected me as Conference Player of the Year,” Anna Beth Vancil said. “I couldn’t have done it without my teammates.”
Vancil recorded 203 kills, 130 digs, 95 assists and 26 ace serves her junior season.

“I’m proud of her and her accomplishments,” Campbell coach Gentry Vancil said. “She is a very hard-working player.”
Gentry Vancil is the 2019 Bootheel Conference Volleyball Coach of the Year. Campbell finished 26-5-2, won the Bootheel Conference regular-season title, and won the Bootheel Conference Tournament under Vancil.
“I’m thankful and appreciative of my peers for voting for me,” coach Vancil said. “It means a great deal. I’m proud of the season our girls had. I have talented players that are easy to coach and they are the ones that deserve the credit We achieved some of our goals this season and our program continues to improve every year.”
Players selected to the 2019 Bootheel Conference all-conference volleyball team are: Campbell’s Anna Beth Vancil, Caruthersville’s Keara Johnson, Malden’s Piper Schoemehl, Campbell’s Macy Hendrix, South Pemiscot’s Damaris Farmer, Senath-Hornersville’s Aubry Jones, Portageville’s Jauslyn Johnson, Campbell’s Caris Foriester, Caruthersville’s Mallory Faulkner, Malden’s Madison Saulsbery, Senath-Hornersville’s Hannah Johnson, Malden’s Onerica Reed, Campbell’s Hannah Littrell, Campbell’s Blaney Powers, and Hayti’s Selina Wooden.
