Murray State tops Southeast volleyball team in four sets

The Southeast Missouri State volleyball team, which came into Friday atop the Ohio Valley Conference standings, fell in four sets to visiting Murray Sate.

The Redhawks, who fell to 19-9 overall and 11-3 in OVC play, won the first set 25-21 but dropped the next three, 22-25, 19-25, 23-25.

Mikayla Kuhlmann led Southeast with 11 kills, while Tara Beilsmith led the defensive effort with 22 digs. Annie Wehrheim and Maggie Adams both recorded four blocks, and Claire Ochs had 36 assists.

Rachel Giustino had a match-high 20 kills for Murray State, which improved to 16-9 overall and 10-3 in the conference.
