MISSOURIAN ROUNDUP: Meadow Heights spikers post another sweep
Gracie Cook finished with nine kills, two service aces and two digs as the Meadow Heights volleyball team capped their third-straight sweep of the week and increased their winning streak to six games in the 25-22, 25-19 victory over host Oran on Friday.
Josey Wahlers posted nine assists, six kills and three blocks for the Panthers, who moved up to .500 with the win. Ashley Gruenke contributed six digs and two kills for Meadow Heights (12-12).
The Panthers will look to go for lucky Win 7 on Tuesday when they host Saxony Lutheran.
The host Eagles fell to 3-13-3 with the defeat and will look to rebound on Tuesday when they host SEMO South Conference foe Charleston.

It probably wasn't the birthday present that Oak Ridge sophomore Paige Glueck wanted for her Sweet 16 as the Blue Jays dropped a key game in straight sets to the Giants on the road in Farmington, Missouri, with potential district implications.
Glueck paced the Blue Jays with 15 digs and eight kills, while Zoe Berry provided 11 digs and six assists. Bailey Urhahn notched 11 digs and Mae Masterson recorded 10 digs for Oak Ridge (12-9-2).
St. Paul Lutheran improved to 12-4 with the win. Both teams will be competing in the Class 1 District 4 Tournament later this month.

Eagle Ridge 25 25 Cairo (Ill.) 15 15
Rachel Margrabe recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs to lead the Eagles to their 20th win of the season in the sweep of the Pilots at home.
Grace Hester contributed five aces and two kills for Eagle Ridge (20-5). Sydney Gartman provided 15 assists and three aces for the Eagles and Jasmine Brown notched 10 digs and two aces.
Rock Bridge 3, Cape Central 0
The Tigers were unable to find the back of the net and saw their nine-game winning streak come to an end in the loss to the host Bruins during their first game of the Rock Bridge Invitational in Columbia, Missouri.
Lucas Godon scored two goals and Jeremiah Johnson had the other goal to lead Rock Bridge (14-4) to victory.
Cape Girardeau Central (11-3-1) continues tournament action Saturday at 8 a.m. against David H. Hickman followed by a 1 p.m. matchup with East (Kansas City).
