Southeast volleyball team drops two matches in Milwaukee tournament

The Southeast Missouri State volleyball team dropped a pair of three-set matches on the opening day of the Panther Invitational on Friday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Southeast fell to Milwaukee 19-25, 17-25, 22-25 before getting swept by Western Michigan 23-25, 18-25, 18-25.

Colby Greene led the Redhawks with seven kills in the loss to Milwaukee, while Laney Malloy had six kills and nine digs. Claire Ochs had 22 assists and 17 digs.

Against Western Michigan, Malloy led the way with nine kills. Tara Beilsmith posted a team-high 23 digs, while Ochs had 20 assists.

Southeast (4-5) concludes tournament play at noon Saturday against Butler.
