Seniors recognized at Kennett Indian Booster Club Banquet
KENNETT, Mo. - The Kennett Indian Booster Club held its annual athletic banquet Friday night at Kennett Country Club for senior athletes.
Those in attendance were served a buffet-style meal at Grill ‘87. Each coach then spoke about the seniors that participated in the sport they coached. The evening concluded with each senior receiving a certificate from Kennett Indian Booster Club President Darren Harris.
The 37 seniors recognized at the event were: Alexa Blankenship, Tori Brandt, Darcy Campbell, Lily Figgins, Taylor Green, Mathew Hamer, Travon Jones, Elijah Lemons, Zach Lewis, Parker McClain, Reggie Morris, Qun’tes Parson, Tucker Pierce, Alexis Seals, Ray Solijon, Maddy Stewart, Annalyse Todd, Mark Wagster, Justin Woods, Kaytie Bradley, Alexis Burdin, Jordan Carter, Claira Green, Analeese Grisham, Hannah Johnson, Sydney Kulin, Trevon Lemons, Sydni McAtee, Tahmyia Mitchell, Allie Parrent, Emma Phillips, Isabella Rouse, Jaheim Simmons, Andrew Spence, Holly Taylor, Osiel Vazquez, and Shay West.
“Let me brag on what sits in here tonight a little bit,” Kennett athletic director Jim Vaughan said of the seniors Friday night. “Represented in this room tonight is 411 career team wins, eight conference titles, 12 district championships, and 12 state qualifiers.
“Individually, we have sitting in here 13 all-conference members, 15 all-district recipients, three all-state recipients, and 11 academic all-state recipients,” Vaughan added.
“The most impressive thing is combined in here we have an average of a 3.3 GPA with five of these seniors in the Top 10 of their class,” Vaughan continued. “The time and commitment these seniors put in is absolutely second to none.”
The Kennett Indian Booster Club would like to thank the seniors for participating in athletics and bringing pride and honor to the school and community.
