Dexter girls lead SEMO Conference tournament field

Defending champion Dexter received the top seed for the SEMO Conference girls basketball tournament that begins Nov. 26 at Sikeston.

Jackson is seeded second, Poplar Bluff third, Saxony Lutheran fourth, Notre Dame fifth, Sikeston sixth, Cape Central seventh and Kennett eighth.

The first-round matchups on Nov. 26 are Dexter vs. Kennett at 4 p.m., Saxony Lutheran vs. Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m., Jackson vs. Cape Central at 7 p.m. and Poplar Bluff vs. Sikeston at 8:30 p.m.

The consolation semifinals will be at 4 and 5:30 p.m. Nov. 27 and the championship semifinals will follow at 7 and 8:30 p.m.

The seventh-place game is set for 4 p.m. Nov. 29 followed by the consolation final at 5:30 p.m., third-place game at 7 p.m. and championship game at 8:30 p.m.
