Kennett fills most coaching vacancies

There are five new head coaches and two new assistant coaches in place at Kennett for the 2018-19 school year.

Andrew Halford is the new high school boys basketball coach. Halford takes over for Lennies McFerren who is leaving the program after a two-year stint to be the high school boys basketball coach at New Madrid County Central High School.

Kennett athletic director Jim Vaughan is the new high school golf coach. Vaughan takes over for longtime head coach Jo Billings who is retiring.

Taylor Miller is the new high school volleyball coach at Kennett. Miller replaces Veronica Gardner who served as head coach the last two seasons.

There are also two head coaching changes at the middle school. Logan Dollins is the new head coach of the middle school baseball team and Janeisha Gooden is the new head coach of the middle school girls basketball team.

Aaron New is the new assistant high school volleyball coach and Wendy Robinett is the new assistant middle school girls basketball coach.

The head high school wrestling and head high school softball coaching positions have yet to be filled. Jamie Chitester served as the head high school wrestling coach and Laurie Vaughan was the head high school softball coach last season.
