COMMUNITY GOLF BRIEFS: Dalhousie Golf Club hosts scramble, point series event

Dalhousie Golf Club hosted two flights of a four-person scramble for Young Life on Friday.

Blake Driscell, Todd Obergoenner, Rick Goodman and Richard Buchanan won the championship flight with a score of 54 over 18 holes. The foursome of Lewis Bock, Tom Froemsdorf, Paul Giebler and Travis Simmons was second with a 55.

Trevor Blattner, OJ Turner, Adam Bertrand and Brent Presser won the A Flight via a scorecard playoff after shooting a 63. The team of Bob Garner, Mike Armstrong and Keith Privett came in second with the same score, a 63.

The closest to the hole at No. 11 was Mark Diamond. Froemsdorf won the long drive competition.

Point series

Dalhousie Golf Club hosted a point series event Saturday. It was individual stroke play with net score over 18 holes.

Bob Ward won via a scorecard playoff after shooting a 67. Terry Bozzay was right behind him in second.

Clay Crosson and Jeff Duepner tied for third with 68s, and Tom Metheny and Charles Chilcutt tied for fifth with 69s.
