Kennett golf team takes sixth at Poplar Bluff Invitational

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. - The Kennett high school golf team placed sixth at the Poplar Bluff Invitational Monday at Westwood Hills Country Club.

Kennett recorded a team score of 365.
Jackson (315) placed first. Poplar Bluff (326) took second, Notre Dame (344) finished third, Bloomfield (359) came in fourth and Dexter (363) was fifth.
Jackson’s Carsen Silliman finished with an eagle to earn medalist honors with a round of 71. Poplar Bluff’s Nathan Woolard placed second with a round of 74.
Kennett’s Blake Carr and Drew Porterfield (88) tied for 17th. Kennett’s Jack McHaney (94) placed 26th. Kennett’s Chas Byers (95) tied for 27th.
