MISSOURIAN ROUNDUP: Second-half push sends Notre Dame boys basketball by Bernie

Kam Dohogne recorded 19 points, six steals and four rebounds as the Notre Dame boys basketball team posted a 67-52 victory over Bernie on Tuesday at Notre Dame Regional High School.

Dawson Dohogne tallied 18 points, six rebounds and five steals for the Bulldogs, who also got 10 points from A.J. Stroup.

Notre Dame (8-6) pulled away during the second half after both teams were tied at 31 at halftime.

Nate Dillinger scored 15 points for the Mules while Michael Suiter chipped in 14 points as Bernie fell to 11-4 on the season with the loss.

Sophomore Eric Berry sank a game-high 21 points as the Bobcats shook off a rusty first quarter to pick up the conference road win over the Rams.

Isaiah Thomas contributed 16 points for Delta (8-6, 2-2 Scott-Mississippi Conference) and Jon Bond chipped in 11 points.

Ethan Pennington recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out to pace Scott City (2-8, 1-3). David Smith scored 18 points with seven rebounds for the Rams while Camden Conner pitched in eight points, six rebounds and five assists.

Titus Fields drained a game-high 28 points but it was not enough as the Braves surrendered to the host Eagles in their first conference loss of the season.

Garry Wilkerson netted 19 points for Scott County Central (6-9, 2-1 Scott-Mississippi Conference), which was tied at halftime and at the end of the third quarter before the Eagles rallied in the final quarter to fly away with the win.

Derez Tipler scored 24 points to lead East Prairie (10-3, 3-1), which had all five of its players finish in double digits.

Lane Baremore scored 19 points as the Panthers notched their 10th win of the season in a high-fouling contest vs. the visiting Bearcats.

Blake Bollinger sank 18 points for Meadow Heights (10-4), which pounced out to a 12-point lead at the intermission. Trent Liley contributed 12 points as the Panthers capitalized on a strong third quarter before the Bearcats attempted a final-quarter comeback that fell short.

A total of 48 fouls were committed in a game that featured 51 attempts at the charity stripe.

Riley Mathes finished with 15 points to pace Lesterville (9-5) and Brendan Myers added 12 points.

Jordan Barker compiled a game-high 30 points, half of which came from behind the arc, as the BlueJays needed an extra quarter but found a way to dodge a scare from a determined Wildcats squad in an overtime conference victory on the road.

David Layton scored 26 points for Oak Ridge (7-6, 1-1 Mississippi Valley Conference), which trailed by five points at the break. Zach LeGrand chipped in 21 points as the BlueJays erased the deficit in the second half before forcing overtime.

Grant Koenig led Leopold (1-11, 0-3) with 24 points before fouling out while Tristan Graham contributed 23 points. Ryan Lewis and Dalton Forrester added 14 points apiece for the Wildcats.

Jessie Gartman notched a double-double with a game-high 18 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Eagles in the win at home over the Hornets.

Jaci Crank tallied 12 points and seven steals for Eagle Ridge Christian School (12-1), which led by eight points at halftime. Taylor Crank also grabbed 17 rebounds as the Eagles limited the Hornets to single digits each quarter.

Freshman Nyah Wilson once again led her team with 11 points as Advance dropped to 3-8.
