Southeast Missouri State women's tennis announces Memphis-area signee

Sneha Sinha has signed with the Southeast Missouri State women's tennis team, coach Mary Beth Gunn announced Thursday.

Sinha is scheduled to graduate from Collierville High School in Tennessee this spring and will join the for the 2018-19 season.

"We are very excited to have Sneha Sinha join our Redhawk family," Gunn said in a news release. "She is a lefty powerhouse from Tennessee and has had a very successful junior career. Also, she is very strong academically. She is going to be a great asset for our tennis program and our university."

Sinha is a three-year starter and two-time state singles finalist at Collierville. The senior was named the 2017 Commercial Appeal High School Girls Tennis Player of the Year. The Germantown, Tennessee, native is also 37-2 in three seasons at Collierville.

Southeast opens the upcoming season Jan. 20 at Missouri.
