Former St. Vincent girls soccer standout Mattingly earns college honors

Katie Mattingly finished an outstanding junior season as goalkeeper for the Truman State University Bulldogs women's soccer team.

Her postseason honors include:

-All GLVC (Great Lakes Valley Conference) First Team

-GLVC Player of the Week a record of four times in a single season

-NSCAA National Player of the Week

-ALL Region D2CCA (Conf. Commissioners Ass.) 1st Team

-ALL Region NSCAA 1st Team

-CoSida Academic All-American 2nd Team

-All American D2CCA 2nd Team

-GLVC Defensive Player of the Year

She led GLVC in goals-against average and in save percentage, with a single-season record of 0.32 GAA.

Mattingly broke Truman's record of goals allowed in a single season with only seven allowed in 21 games. The previous record was seven in 19. She also set Truman's single-season shutout record.

Mattingly is a 2013 graduate of St. Vincent High in Perryville.
