MISSOURIAN BRIEF: Cape Central's Chisom headlines all-state football list

Carr Trophy winner Kway'Chon Chisom has added another postseason award to his senior campaign.

The Cape Central standout earned first-team honors as a Class 4 all-state defensive back by the Missouri Football Coaches Association.

Chisom, who also started at quarterback for the Tigers, finished the year with 62 tackles, eight pass breakups and four interceptions. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Chisom was an all-conference selection on both sides of the ball for the third straight season.

Junior teammate Aaron Harris (6-0, 205 pounds) garnered third-team honors for the Tigers as well.

In Class 5, Jackson senior Payne Guilliams (6-0, 165 pounds) picked up honors as a second-team DB, while senior teammate Quentin Kent (5-11, 175 pounds) was a third-team selection at wide receiver.

Scott City senior Braden Cox (6-3, 218 pounds) earned second-team Class 1 all-state honors at running back along with St. Vincent's Austin Dauster (5-6, 120 pounds), a junior kicker.

Rams senior offensive lineman Brittan Jones (5-10, 225 pounds), St. Vincent senior linebacker Tyler Unterreiner (5-10, 225 pounds) and St. Vincent senior DB Riley Riehn (5-9, 140 pounds) each earned third-team honors in Class 1.
