Eagle Ridge boys basketball opens season with a win

Eagle Ridge Christian School boys basketball won its first regular-season game Tuesday as the Eagles defeated Trinity Christian School 62-19 at Eagle Ridge.

Hunter Jones had a game-high 27 points and added six steals in the rout of the Carbondale, Illinois, school. Nemanja Tosic poured in 20 points and Karsten Sowers grabbed nine offensive rebounds.

The Eagles are back in action Friday as they host Liberty Christian Academy. Their first road game is Nov. 15 against Westwood Baptist Academy.
