Boys & Girls Club golf tournament

Dalhouise Golf Club held its inaugural Boys and Girls Club Golf Tournament on Monday.

In championship flight action, the team of Matt Porch, Jody Underwood, Jonathan Blattel and Blake McDowell took the top spot with a 20-under-par 52. That was three strokes better than runners-up Ryan Holloway, Brian Leible, Bill Wiggins and Ben Eller.

Third place went to Mark White, Scott Amick, Tommy Eberhardt and Greg Howard with a 56.

In the 'A' flight, the victors were Brady Barke, Rhett Barke, Nate Saverino and Cory Daniel, who combined to shoot a 12-under 60. That was one shot better than the second-place squad featuring Jimmy Bowen, Jacob Pattengill, Lee Pattengill and Greg Klund.

In third at 10-under was Shawn Patterson, Kevin Patterson, Scot Quesenberry and Bob Hawkinson.

Closest to the pin went to Eirka Miller on hole No. 8 at 9 feet, 8 inches and Brandon Cooper on No. 11 at 7 inches.

The longest putt was Michael Hess' 56-foot, 3-inch shot on No. 9, while Rocky Strand sank one on No. 18 from 68 feet, 4 inches.
