Fadler cards ace at Kimbeland

Bill Fadler of Jackson recored his fourth career hole-in-one Wednesday at Kimbeland Country Club.

Fadler used a pitching wedge to ace No. 12, a par 3 playing 90 yards. Witnesses were Jim Griffin, Norris Johnson and Ronn Unterreiner.

Notre Dame four-person sramble

The foursome of Zack Green, Eric Bowen, Quintin Kelly and Steve Thweatt shot a tournament-low 54 to win the afternoon Championship flight at the Notre Dame four-person scramble Monday at Dalhousie Golf Club.

The foursome finished one stroke ahead of Paul Unterreiner, Wayne Unterreiner, Aaron Jenkins and Jeff Fahmer. The group of Cody Bell, Chris Bickings, John Kirk and Bubba Slaten placed third with a 57.

In the morning competition, the team of David Palmer, Bobbi Palmer, Shawn Heuring and Levi Felter won with a 57. The foursome of Ben Schroeder, Kenny Geragosian, Derric Garner and Bryan Jones finsished in second at 58, which the third-place team of Steve Slaten, Ken Hosp, Gene Meyer and Bryce Faulkner also shot.

A flight winners were Ron Reinagel, Tim Foust, Steve Huffstutler and Barry Bennet (62) in the morning and Vern Styer, Dave Lowes, Kim Flemtge and Ben Eller in the afternoon.

In B flight, the team of Renee Peters, Tim Drury and Kirk Boeller (66) won in the morning while Gary Bader, Brian Jamison, David Gholson and Lee Roach (65) won in the afternoon.

Closest-to-the-hole winners were Lindy Duncan (No. 5), Ken Keen (No. 11), Phil Cantoni (No. 13) and Ed Groves (No. 8). Pat Hagen and Donna Wheeler had the longest drives.
