With its only midyear transfer, SEMO added depth at the quarterback position by bringing in Hosket.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound signal caller was highly efficient as a sophomore at East Central Community College in Decatur, Miss., where he completed 61.3 percent of his pass attempts and threw for 1,504 yards and 16 touchdowns to just two interceptions.

Under Hosket's charge, ECCC went to the state semifinals and were ranked No. 10 in the nation among junior colleges.

The QB also has a history of winning at the high school level, where he led French Camp Academy to its only Mississippi state title in school history.

Hosket is expected to provide competition for returning quarterback's Dante Vandeven and Tay Bender, who himself was a juco transfer.
