The Redhawks bolstered their defensive line with a player that could make an immediate impact, as Brown comes to Cape Girardeau after two seasons at the junior college level.
Brown helped Northwest Mississippi Community College to a state tile and earned All-State and All-Conference first-team recognition. He was his division's Most Valuable Player.
He earned those awards by notching 25 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, two sacks and nine quarterback hurries.
As a freshman, he was fifth on the team with 44 stops, including 10.5 for a loss.
Prior to his time at NMCC, Brown was a standout at Columbus (Miss.) High School, where he was a two-time All-State and All-Region pick, and was selected to participate in the prestigious Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game.
One of just two juco transfers in this year's recruiting class, Brown will join a Southeast defensive line that returns some experience.
