Miranda Burroughs, a former Poplar Bluff girls basketball alum, is currently wrapping up her career at the University of Alabama Birmingham. She has started every game this year for the 15-12 (9-7) Blazers of Conference USA. Miranda is averaging 7.8 points per game in 31.1 minutes per game She also currently is ranked No. 1 in the conference in 3-point FG shooting percentage at 41.8 and is No. 1 in 3-point shots made with 64 (2.4 per game). She also is ranked No. 21 in the nation in NCAA Division 1 3-point FG shooting percentage with that 41.8 percent. The Blazers are currently in 5th place in C-USA and she will play her final regular season home game Saturday March 7. The C-USA Tournament will start next week March 11 through March 14 with UAB hosting the tournament in Birmingham, Alabama.
