Doniphan Cross Country Team Brings Home Medals

The Doniphan cross country team competed in the Licking Invitational CC Meet held on October 7th, bringing home five medals and second place in the varsity girls division out of 13 schools competing. (Rolla placed first.)

Jimmy Kramer received a ninth place medal in the varsity boys division. Makayla Brady earned a 15th place medal in the junior high girls division.

Winning medals in the Varsity girls division were Kalli Hill,---9th place, Shelby Burgess---12th place, and Kaitlyn Burgess---18th place. The five girl team of Kalli Hill, freshman, Shelby Burgess, junior, Kaitlyn Burgess, junior, Brittney Ritter, freshman and Melinda Holmes, senior, earned the girls a second place team win.

On September 29th, the varsity girls team won a first place plaque competing against nine schools in the Couch CC meet.

The top five runners for the varsity girls were: Kalli Hill---5th, Kaitlyn Burgess---8th, Brittney Ritter---13th, Shelby Burgess---16th, and Melinda Holmes---22nd. The top fifteen runners received individual medals.

Jimmy Kramer earned a sixth place medal for the varsity boys team.

The varsity girls team has earned two first place wins and two second place wins so far this year. They will compete again in the Eminence CC meet on Wednesday.
