Paige Radford led off the game with a long double to left field that hit the base of the fence. Alex Green brought her home on a double to right center.

Fifth inning:

Clearwater scored one run.

Dairan Elam-Pyles led off the inning with a bloop single to center. She moved up to second on a ground out to third. She came around to score on a single up the middle by Brittaney Long.

Sixth inning:

Clearwater scored three runs.

Pitcher Carrie Adams was hit by the first pitch thrown by relief pitcher Hannah McDaniel. Lydia Wymore reached first on a ground ball back to the pitcher who threw to second to force out the courtesy runner. Wymore scored all the way from first on an RBI double by Chelci Robinson. Robinson hit a line drive to the left-center field gap reaching the fence. Robinson scored on a line drive single to center by Jennifer Thurman. Thurman hesitated at first base on the hit, then broke for second base on the throw home by the center fielder. The Neelyville catcher immediately threw the ball to second to try to catch the advancing runner. The ball was thrown past the base and reached the center field fence allowing Thurman to score easily on the same play.

Seventh inning:

Clearwater scored three runs.

Brittaney Long drew a one-out walk. Sammi Cowin courtesy ran for Long, the catcher. Alex Green and Carrie Adams followed with walks to load the bases with one out. Dorothy Casey courtesy ran for the pitcher, Adams. Cowin and Green scored on a sharply hit ground ball by Lydia Wymore. An RBI was credited to Wymore with the second run scoring on the error. Casey scored on an infield single by Dairan Elam-Pyles.

Neelyville scored two runs.

Sheppard led off the inning with a single to left. After two strikeouts, a pinch hitter singled. Both runners scored on an RBI double by pinch hitter Crosby. The runs were unearned with an error given on a dropped pop-up in foul ground that would have ended the game. The hitter eventually got a base hit to continue the game.

Player of the Game:

Paige Radford was the defensive player of the game. Paige turned in a double play tagging the runner advancing to second then throwing on to first. This play came in the bottom of the sixth inning with Neelyville threatening with runners at first and third, and only one out in the inning. She also ended the second inning ranging far up the middle, backhanding the ball, and throwing the runner out at first. Clearwater played outstanding defensively as a whole on the day with Alex Green and Jennifer Thurman also turning in great plays.
