Bernie baseball beats Risco

BERNIE -- Pitching problems bit the Risco Tigers during a 10-run, five-inning loss Thursday at Bernie.

The Risco pitching staff allowed a total combination of 11 free passes in the walk and hit-by-pitch categories.

The Mules cashed in their scoring chances behind Jake Welch (2-for-3, double, two RBI) and Silas Dill (2-for-2, three runs scored and three RBI). Justin Earnheart blasted a three-run homer in Risco's first inning. He scored twice for the Tigers (0-6 overall).

Matt Smith suffered the loss for Risco, while Woods was the winning pitcher.
