Wednesday night's loss to Murray means SEMO will likely finish third in conference. This isn't a bad spot to be as it means they'll face the winner of 6/7 first, then the winner of 2 vs 5/8. They have a decent shot of getting to face Murray a third time for a chance to go to the Big Dance.
It's hard to beat a good team 3 times in one season.
I think SEMO has to beat Jackonville State Thursday night if they want to assure at least a top 4 finish. I know things could change between now and Saturday but Austin Peay might be playing to even make the tournament which is a shocker. If they are that desperate it's going to be a tough game to win
Something has to change to avoid 5 straight losses to end the season. Where's the intensity, the motivation?
With the talent, this is hard to understand. Good teams usually get better as the season goes on. Yes, we have come along way, but would have expect better with at least a couple of wins in the last four. Will be disappointing if we go out in our first game.
