The winner this week was none other than BLEED GREEN. He talked a lot of trash, and backed it all up haha. He picked every game right, and was only two points off of picking the Cape-Poplar Bluff score exactly right. So congrats Bleed, great picking! If you are down in points, don't feel bad, still plenty of opportunities and weeks to make up points! Also if you did not pick last week, still play this week. New comer mojo3 only missed 1 game this week, as did almost everyone else, but he correctly picked this week's upset of NMCC over Charleston which was a 2 point game. I want to apologize for not having last weeks results done last week, due to the fact that I was out of town all week. I considered doing last weeks and this weeks results in two separate entries, but since we had the same winner I decided to just do one. So congrats to the CHEESEHEAD back to back week 5 and 6 winner!! Both weeks he picked every single game correctly. Thank you so much I really appreciate that! I love hearing people's opinions on games, and seeing how they pick games. I try to stay pretty unbiased (but we all have our lapses haha!) basketball is my favorite sport, and yes I will def do a pick'em starting week one. Bball is much harder to pick in my opinion, so it should be exciting!!

Great week of picking this week, with lots of exciting games just as expected! Chaffee faced their biggest test of the season so far and passed with flying colors, but they messed up a lot of peoples picks as well. Congrats to CATDAD our week 7 winner!! He was the only person out of the whole bunch to pick every game correctly. Picking Dexter and Chaffee to win really set him apart where he blew out the rest of the field. This was a tough week of picking and we are going to have some tough games coming up as well. We also added several new players last week which is great! Even though you might not be able to win the whole game at this point in the season, please feel free to play along and see how you do each week. This was probably the toughest week of picking so far. No one got all of the picks correct, and nobody even got all but 1. We can all thank Cape and Jackson for that haha. A few people went 7-2, but one person won based on being closest to the correct score on the tiebreaker game. That person was JOLLY DUMP, congrats man!! Well...... boy was I right when I said this would be the best week so far. Scores were all across the board and I think we can all agree this was one of the toughest weeks to pick with so many toss ups games. I believe missing 3 games was the closest anyone got to getting all correct. I actually won this week, and am not afraid to admit it was purely by luck haha. I had no idea which way a couple of the games would go. cvillecomo also got a 2 point bonus for being the only one to pick that Portageville would beat NMCC. The playoffs are now here! As predicted it wasn't that eventful of a first round of the playoffs. Everyone missed Scott City's surprising win over Charleston. Buy hey, it's the playoffs, and your previous record no longer matters. Congrats to SC on a good win. The next closest game was North County vs. Sikeston; it was 2nd in tripping people up. A few people only missed the SC-Charleston game, so it came down to a very close tie-breaker. This week's winner is HB1025. Another week of playoff football is behind us. We now head on to the district championship! Not to many huge surprising games this week, except a slight upset where Thayer beat Chaffee, which was a bit unexpected. Now we get into some more serious football, football where banners get hung. This week's winner is SMO723. He got every single pick correct, and was only one point away from the actual score of the Thayer -- Chaffee tie-breaker game. District Champions have now been crowned. Congrats to Jackson, Cape, Park Hills, Caruthersville, and Valle on their championships. They were hard fought, and some great games took place. Also congrats to all those who's seasons are now over on a great year. Time to rebuild and look ahead to next year. Well great picking guys!! The picking was a little bit difficult, and Lutheran North pulled a bit of an upset. The only person to pick the Lutheran North upset was this weeks winner HB1025. He was the only player to get every pick correct this week. So congrats and great picking hb1025!! This will be our last week for the Gridiron Pickem. So our overall winner of the first Gridiron Pickem is CHEESEHEAD. He has led almost all year long, and claimed 1st place by an 11 point margin. So when it's all said and done, the Cheese stands alone (been waiting a long time to use that line). He had some impressive picking and even went a two week stretch where he didn't miss a game. I have really really enjoyed doing this pickem this year guys, it makes football games more enjoyable for me. Hopefully it did for you all as well. We had 41 people that participated this year, and I think that is a great turnout. So thank you so much for everyone that participated! I will be doing a Roundball Pickem for the second year. We had a great turnout for that last year, and I hope to add even more people this year. I will start early this year, first one may even be the first round of the SEMO Conference Tournament, so be looking around that time for it to come out. I will try to have a set day that it comes out each week. I want to wish lots of luck to Cape moving forward in football. Hopefully they can bring home a big win, and I would love to root for you guys in the Dome. Also good luck to Valle who also has fans who post on this site, hopefully yall can win your 324804375084 championship this year. To those whose season is finished, I hope you enjoyed this year of football, it was a great one. Remember that it's not about the game, not even about the wins and losses, and about the lessons you learn along the way and how it can make you into better young men.
