  • Bill, have the agree there! Funny how the English language works!

    For Predictions, here's mine:

    Summit over Jackson

    Hillsboro over Cape

    SG over PHC

    Caruthersville over Charleston

    and Valle over Portageville

    -- Posted by mojo3 on Thu, Nov 1, 2012, at 10:53 AM
  • Valley over Portageville. Portageville has had a good season but I think it ends with this game.

Cville over Charleston. I think it will be hard for anyone to beat cville. If they don't have anymore injuries.

SG over PHC. I think this will be a heck of a game. I think in the end SG moves on.

Hillsboro and Cape I really don't know much about Hillsboro. But Cape is allot better then there record and they have momentum going into this game. I pick Cape

Jackson over Summit. Jackson is healthy for frost time in over a month. They have all there starters playing for first time since before Cape game. Henson being back makes a huge difference in this offence. He'll hang on to those balls across the middle. The offence has seemed to have settled in to there new QB as well. Close game but I like Jackson at home in front of there huge crowed.

  • Was Selsor moved to another position or is he sitting?

-- Posted by crackerjack on Thu, Nov 1, 2012, at 12:22 PM
  • No he is still playing on defense. He's a heck of a ballplayers.

-- Posted by oldschoolbballer on Thu, Nov 1, 2012, at 1:23 PM
  • I know this game is outside the SEMO area but i would like to see Brentwood upset Maplewood... Brentwood hasnt lost since week 2 againest Maplewood so it could be a very close game

-- Posted by sherman on Thu, Nov 1, 2012, at 2:04 PM
  • Cape by 3

    Park Hills by 14

Jackson vs. Rockwood will come down to turnovers, but i say Jackson by 3.

    Cville by 7

    Valle by 21

  • semocentralfan1......does running the ball down their opponent's throat all night long fall into the "trick play" category?

-- Posted by zachattack on Thu, Nov 1, 2012, at 5:28 PM
  • SG is tough....we all know this. I wonder if Roughing-up unstoppable powerhouses like Kennett and NMCC will be beneficial to them going into the title game....?

-- Posted by zachattack on Thu, Nov 1, 2012, at 7:02 PM
  • It will be interesting to see how coach Eckley game plans for Summit. The man has made football fun to watch in Jackson the way he adjusts to the other teams defence. Jackson is healthy for the first time in several weeks. Summit should be the favorite based on strength of schedule but you really just dont know this time of year and the house will be rockin in Jackson!

-- Posted by objective fan on Thu, Nov 1, 2012, at 7:07 PM
  • I will take all the teams that jaxindians doesn't because he obviously dosent know much a nothin. I may come watch that game Monday. Meet me at wibs?

-- Posted by caniplay on Thu, Nov 1, 2012, at 7:10 PM
  • Just looked at Summit's schedule... Other than Webster Groves and Parkway Central they had a fairly weak schedule...

    -- Posted by footballfan29 on Thu, Nov 1, 2012, at 8:21 PM
  • Valle because they are Valle and Class 1A lol

CVille by 17 better team.. better coaches

Cape by 10.... a hell of a lot better than their record shows

Jackson very close game but the spread offense and the better coach prevail... Jackson by 7

With Martin we win against Hillsboro, Monday!

With Martin we beat Miller or whoever comes out of that region...

And right now while Sikeston is licking their wounds (b yy the way i called it) I just hope we aren't satisfied with just that win!!!

    SG loses by TD

Cville wins BIG (Maybe 4 td's or more)

    -- Posted by CapeFan1 on Fri, Nov 2, 2012, at 7:52 AM
  • Not a very good week picking last time as I only went 6-4 in the district semis, but here we go again:

    1. Valle over Portageville.

    2. Caruthersville over Charleston.

    3. Ste. Gen over PHC.

    4. Cape Central over Hillsboro.

    5. Jackson over Rockwood Summit.

I personally believe these will all be close games, maybe a TD or less. I look for Caruthersville to pull away late from Charleston, but a close game until then.

    Cville

    Valle over P'ville

    C-ville over C-town

    PHC over Ste. Gen

    Cape over Hillsboro

    Jackson over Summit

Game of the week In class 3 I think PHC has improved more while Ste. Gen has lost some of its mojo.

-- Posted by wheresthebeef on Sat, Nov 3, 2012, at 3:30 PM
  • Valle

    Caruthersville

    PHC

    Cape

    Summit

  • Bleed Green, I knew you were a crack dealer.....but it's not good for profits if you smoke up all of your own product. lol

-- Posted by zachattack on Sat, Nov 3, 2012, at 7:26 PM
  • Valle

    Cville

    PHC

    Cape

    Summit

Game of the week PHC at SG, though it may turn out to to be a blowout due to the amount of times the dragons turn the ball over.

  • Hulk Hogan body slammed Andre The Giant at Wrestlemania once. That was in the early 80's....a wee bit more than 25 years ago.

.... shall we discuss other irrelevant facts from the past?

-- Posted by zachattack on Sat, Nov 3, 2012, at 8:28 PM
  • Like the Arizona Cardinals making it to a Superbowl. Miracles do happen.

-- Posted by oldschoolbballer on Sat, Nov 3, 2012, at 8:54 PM
  • I think it's BG that's on the verge of being irrelevant. Some of the crudest comments Ive seen out of him since last year. Red headed step child? Lol, ok. I decided I'd look up the stats on the SG/PHC game and we had 2 turnovers. An Int and a fumble. So your point is moot. Fun little stat to think about while we are putting bows in our pretty red hair and thinking about BGs stupid posts, a win Friday would make that 2 district championships in 3 years for PHC. Never know though, SG could make it a game, lol.

-- Posted by Kzar on Sat, Nov 3, 2012, at 9:08 PM
  • Portageville 48

    Valle 42

    Caruthersville over charleston by 30...

All the other games I could care less

    #bootheelforever

    Haha

  • Beef have you see a ste gen game this year r you just having one of those personality thing a ma gigs!! Come on man take your meds!!!

-- Posted by SGFAN on Sat, Nov 3, 2012, at 9:16 PM
  • I won't be surprised at all if PH beats SG. These are very similar football teams and should be a very good game. With that said whoever wins has very little chance vs Burroughs. Good luck I'm picking PH 27-21. And Valle 41-26

-- Posted by caniplay on Sun, Nov 4, 2012, at 5:22 AM
  • Valle over Portageville BIG

    Cville over Charleston BIG

    PHC over SG by 20

    Summitt over Jackson by 7

Valle vs Portageville- Really dont want either to win. Im gonna take Valle now, because they will shut down the Wishbone, and hope they get popped on the road to the dome. If not Penny should do the job

Charleston vs Caruthersville- I think there is a chance that Ctown wins but i wouldnt bank on it. Tigers

Park Hills vs Ste Genivieve- BG can spit whatever he wants in your face but you have to know to look past it. Park Hills is playing good, and SG has been sloppy. PHC and I hope they come out beatin that *ss

Rockwood Summit vs Jackson- Jackson will work out on the perimeter with RWS's Eric Beisel sitting at MLB, lotta pressure on RWS secondary, ill take jackson, also attending the game so should be interesting.

Additionally due to many factors, which are not limited to being tired of bickering about trivial stuff, this will be my last post, as Bill is going into SEMOBALL retirement, its been good.

I'm new to this forum but I'll give it a shot.

Portageville over Valle This ain't the same Valle as the previous 3 years

Caruthersville over Charleston. Caruthersville it to physical

Ste. Genevieve over Park Hills...because thats what always happends.

Summitt over Jackson because I believe Summitt plays a tougher Schedule...

-- Posted by Brother Vito on Sun, Nov 4, 2012, at 6:02 PM
  • Valle and their 14 coaches and assistant coaches will have them ready to play as always...they prolly won't get knocked out until they have a rematch with a much superior Hamilton-Penney team in the dome!

Charleston will fall to Cville..but don't count on a long playoff run from them after that!

SG and PHC I think is the game to watch around this area! SG although has talent and good coaching I think PHC controls the game enough to get a win maybe a 21-17 game!

Jackson might pull out and get the win against Summit..but I don't see them making it much farther than being district champs! Jackson wins!

-- Posted by RustyHook on Sun, Nov 4, 2012, at 6:13 PM
  • Picks are the same as maxpreps this week: #(29)Rockwood Summit over(36)Jackson, (94)Cape Central over(96)Hillsboro, (80)Ste Gen. over (85)Park Hills, #(122)Caruthersville over (168)Charleston, and (133)Valle over (177)Portageville. There are going to be some good games this Monday night to see who are the district champs.
