I was wondering the same thing. Someone must have thrown a dart at the unbeaten teams in Class 3 and landed there. I'd say that Freddy should get some votes if they beat PHC this week. Also, I think Sullivan is a team to watch for to join the rankings potentially in Class 4. I'm shocked that Sikeston was ranked as high as they were considering Rus Baer of the Columbia Tribune doesn't even have him in his personal rankings (he's a voter). He publishes his personal picks in each class each week. I'd kind of like if Brian Rosener did that or at least explained how he felt on ranking local teams like he did in the preseason.

  • yea i mean freddy hasnt beaten anyone but potosi has played basically JV teams to get some confidence. (so says the pigskin preview on the dailyjournal website)

  • Potosi will beat Perryville and they'll probably appear at 3 or 4 on the list. CRAZY!

  • No doubt gents! I wonder what those three were smoking to even give them a vote? Come on WHO have they played? It must have been those 55 points on Confluence Prep, that high powered team out of St. Louis and the one touchdown win over the great Pacific team! Potosi getting three votes because they are "unbeaten" is a JOKE! There's no way then Clinton, Richmond, Soldan and McClure South should be in the top 10 and Logan-Rogersville goes 0-2 and STILL get a vote? But other than that the poll looks pretty good ;)

I hate to say it, I don't think any Semo team get's to the Dome this year in any class.

I think whoever wins Class 1 District 1 has a shot just because that class is generally weak. However, I agree Cheese that I don't see Sikeston, Cape, Farmington doing it because even if they make the semis, they'd have to play Webb there; Ste. Gen, Freddy, or PHC would have to play JB in the quarters and I don't see anybody stopping them, Caruthersville would have to see Maplewood followed by another top five team to make and I just don't see them doing that, and Jackson could upset Summit to won Class 5 District 1 but I think Kirkwood or Webster Groves would eliminate them after that.

  • I guarantee you Sikeston plays in the dome. Mark it down!

  • rogersville gets votes cause of last year. that's gotta be the only explanation. even if freddy got votes for beating hillsboro based on what hillsboro did last year, that would even be a stretch. but there's a reason these guys are sportswriters and nothing else. i would bet some of the guys voting haven't even watched a game yet.
