    They said because of historically low viewership on New Years Eve and that game would be the last game of the season and they always put a playoff implication game in that spot. This year there are no matchups determining a playoff spot.

    They hadn't picked any yet IP for the game. And since no one offered an intriguing match up, the just decided to do an extra 4PM game.
