  • How could you not include Jordan McGowan of Bernie?

    No Sikeston players???

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Sun, Mar 6, 2011, at 9:37 PM
  • How can you have only one Cape player when you have two advance players?

-- Posted by SoaringEagle on Sun, Mar 6, 2011, at 9:38 PM
  • Its the southeast missourian, sikeston not covered

-- Posted by Dustin Ruby on Sun, Mar 6, 2011, at 9:39 PM
  • neither bernie or sikeston are in the coverage area

-- Posted by LeeSummitBooster on Sun, Mar 6, 2011, at 9:39 PM
  • Southeast Missourian cheesehead

-- Posted by SoaringEagle on Sun, Mar 6, 2011, at 9:39 PM
  • So that means no Kennett players?

    -- Posted by Ktownballer18 on Sun, Mar 6, 2011, at 9:39 PM
  • I don't think Sikeston and Bernie are in the Southeast Missourian coverage for purposes of this list. If they are, then this list is laughable.

Does the southeast Missourian cover sikeston lol :)!?

-- Posted by BuckMajor on Sun, Mar 6, 2011, at 9:41 PM
  • Thats the second string except for Otto, everyone knows all of Sikeston players would be first.

-- Posted by TFA on Sun, Mar 6, 2011, at 9:42 PM
  • If we were covered cause apparently we arent.lol!

Is Scott Central covered by the Southeast Missourian? I thought they were in the Standard Democrat coverage area.

And how did Flannigan make it on here from Dexter? This would be the strangest looking coverage area I've ever seen. Or someone hasn't seen too much basketball this year.

  • As the Southeast Missourian sports editor, I'll let you in on the details. We'll pick 12 team members from the following teams: Perryville, St. Vincent, Oak Ridge, Meadow Heights, Woodland, Jackson, Cape Central, Notre Dame, Leopold, Bell City, Advance, Zalma, New Salem Baptist, Eagle Ridge Christian, Scott County Central, Oran, Scott City, Chaffee, Delta, Kelly and Saxony Lutheran.

    With that said, guess away.

So your right sideline no flannigan.

Yeah Buck, I'm just trying to envision what the coverage map would have looked like. I imagined something close to re-districting lines after a census when there's a new party in power.

Kevin it doesn't look very favorable of the SE Missouri to through SCC in there and not Sikeston. You know that SCC is the Democrat's coverage area.

  • I predict 3 from cape.

    Southeast Missourian gerrymandering haha!!

Always thought it was odd that SEMissourian covered SCC. Doesn't make much sense.

thats kinda weird because Standard democrat covers every one else and Sikeston as well.. but the southeast missourian doesnt...

  • I cant see including Brett Thomas on any team. Not a very friendly player to his opponents

    -- Posted by Semoball68 on Thu, Mar 10, 2011, at 10:38 AM
  • What does being friendly have to do with your basketball abilities?

-- Posted by deadred on Thu, Mar 10, 2011, at 10:48 AM
  • If its SE Missourian, it should include all the teams that reside in the SEMO area. SCC and Sikeston are less than 10 minutes apart yet U cover them and not Sikeston I read the Democrat and it covers almost anyteam in the SEMO area. U think your paper really needs to change the name if U R not going to cover every team in the area.

  • 2- advance players 0-sikeston....20agam3 your not very smart

    -- Posted by Indian5678 on Thu, Mar 10, 2011, at 6:50 PM
  • They don't cover Sikeston, so Sikeston players aren't chosen. IF you had read the post above yours then it says they do NOT cover Sikeston, so therefore, thanks for proving who really is the "not very smart" one..

It's southeast Missourian. That's only been explained like 4 thousand times in the above comments. Your not very smart.

-- Posted by BuckMajor on Thu, Mar 10, 2011, at 6:58 PM
  • I do think its odd that sikexston isn't covered while scc is but its like beating a dead horse, we've been over this too many times.

    -- Posted by BB-BORE on Thu, Mar 10, 2011, at 8:45 PM
  • i believe stewart johnson and trey johnson should be on that list but thats imo lol

-- Posted by kmasters on Thu, Mar 10, 2011, at 9:11 PM
  • If it were a true all star team it would only be the top players and im sorry but the chaffee, leopold, oak ridge, and advance type kids would be on here.

    -- Posted by BB-BORE on Thu, Mar 10, 2011, at 10:35 PM
  • One shouldn't be surprised at the insconsistencies in the schools designated as the coverage area for the Southeast Missourian. After all, it's no different than KFVS-12 spending so much time on Illinois and Kentucky schools, as if the majority of us "give a rip!"
