  • Bazzel is at JeffCo and has had an elbow surgery this past week if my sources are correct.

  • Boeller threw good today against central arkansas from what I saw. An ovc pitcher having a 5+ era isn't anything to be worried about, that's pretty normal.

  • I think it depends on what a kid is trying to get out of his college experience, educational expectations or sport related expectations. I think all parents should take advantage of scholarship money's if it fits their kid. But I sure like to see the kids enjoying their college experience. I am afraid to many have the DeWitt syndrome and that is great if they can make it I like to dream myself, but lets face it there are not to many DeWitt's out there. But it is the parents job to minimize the regrets maybe, not the coaches.

  • mo - Does the numbers on UT's website include any JV or is it just varsity included in his numbers. I guess what I'm saying is that I am impressed if he is already seeing varsity playing time, regardless the results, that's better than sitting the bench as a freshman.

    -- Posted by whatup73 on Wed, Mar 2, 2011, at 10:59 PM
  • Hey mo where can I find a Bulls schedule, I would like to come catch some games?

    -- Posted by whatup73 on Wed, Mar 2, 2011, at 11:02 PM
  • Missouribullsbaseball.com. If your implying that I was downing a kid. I was putting stats up for the players in southeast Missouri was all I was doing. Kind of funny you just point out one particular player that's struggling.

-- Posted by SEMObaseball on Thu, Mar 3, 2011, at 7:14 AM
  • And whatup73 I respect your opinion on the school thing so I'm not going to argue. But to tell someone to give up on a dream or teach them to give up on a dream is not what I teach. If a kid really wants to fulfill a dream he can. Whether is professional baseball or winning a national title. These kids are 18 years old. You have until 60 or 70 to retire. And if we're talking about professional baseball then their are so many avenues. Don't necessarily have to go to the MLB but to just sign a professional contract is worth fighting for a dream whether it's an independent team or whatever. Like I said my opinion. That's how I coach and that's how I'll always coach.

  • Mo- Whats your philosophy with JUCO over 4 year schools? And no we are on the same page, like to see the local guys go on and perform at the next level regardless the results. I think it is a privilege to get to play at the next level past high school. Just that I like to see them enjoying it, so fit is everything.

    -- Posted by whatup73 on Thu, Mar 3, 2011, at 1:09 PM
  • And keep on keeping the dreams alive!

    -- Posted by whatup73 on Thu, Mar 3, 2011, at 1:12 PM
  • bazzell did not have elbow surgery. it was shoulder surgery. had a bone spur and should come back as good as ever. no damage to the cuff. should be back pitching by this summer. my sources are correct!!

  • I'm not sure about jackson but cape has a player that will be playing college baseball but he hasn't made his decision as to where yet.
