  • This would probably be a better forum as current, or at least recent players. Still a good form but now I'm going to have to look up half the people.

  • Where did all of these guys go to college and what year did they graduate?

  • I'm not sure where Littell went to college but he was born in '58 and drafted into the MLB before his elbow gave out.

Matt Palmer went to Three Rivers then Southwest Missouri and entered the MLB draft in 2002, not sure if he graduated or left early.

Tyler Thompson is currently a freshman at Jefferson College.

    2.Kyle Long-Woodland low 90s

    3.Shae Simmons-Scott City low 90s

  • How hard is Morris bringing it? I've seen Stockton hit 88 a few times

  • Adam Grantham from Kennett was clocked at 88, 89 this summer. He is really developing as a pitcher and should be one to watch out for this spring.

  • I agree , I saw him pitch this summer and he was very impressive

  • I heard that Morris has been clocked as high as 89 but Im sure he isnt consistently at 89. When I have seen him pitch, he is consistently 84 85.

  • Quinten West from Poplar Bluff is consistently in the mid 80s. He's not quite the pitcher that Morris or Stockton are but he has a chance to be.

  • When I seen Quinton West throw, he was topping out at 84 85, not consistently. Check Pro-day baseball website and it will say they clocked him at 84 mph.

  • A friend of mine recently took his son to some sort of under armor team try out recently. He told me that West was there, and he got the chance to sit behind the scouts with guns while West threw and 88mph was the highest he saw him it.

  • Romey Brockett was one of the best hardest throwers I ever saw.

  • Ive never heard of a pitcher varying 4 mph on different days but I guess I believe it.

  • What was the boy from Dexter who graduated in 88 or 89. I can remember talk of him hitting low 90.

  • mule--I think it was a kid named Rob Thrower (no pun intended)..They also had Brian Becker in the early 80's that could bring it...

  • As far as just sheer heat, Ryan Modglin brings it as well or better than anybody ive seen from this area. Stockton can hold his own also

-- Posted by bleacherking on Sat, Jan 1, 2011, at 3:17 AM
  • Garrett Stockton can throw it, dont get me wrong, but his velocity comes nowhere near Ryan Modglins. Ryan Modglin could top out 94, Garrett Stockton can top out about 86. Big difference.
