• I was at the game and the 2nd pitcher Greenville put in was holding Valle more than McDaniel did. Don't know if he had a bad game but Valle was hitting him, lights out. Congrats to Valle. They are headed to Cooter on Wednesday.

• Valle is pretty good, Greenville defense didn't help him out any. 2 errors in first cost him to throw 20 extra pitches. That was all Valle needed. Their 7,8 and 9 hole had no problem hitting 88mph. Not like most high school teams around.

• And two out error by outfielder on misjudged line drive in 2nd cost Greenville 3 more runs. 7-0 after 2 on unearned runs. Hard to pitch around that many errors. Valle hit the ball and played defense.

• I was really impressed by Valle. Kids are just good solid baseball players. McDaniel kid will be a good arm in college and will probably be a nice low 90's arm for SEMO. Getting Basler and McDaniel to SEMO is great.

• Not sure what OVC you played for but legit 91-93 mph kids are far from a dime a dozen.

• Is OVC the only conference in D1? I didn't say anything about the OVC and I never said Coach Bieser didn't know what he was getting. All I asked was, can he pitch? I don't know him but it sounds like he had NO defense behind him which was why the score was lopsided. I'm at every SEMO home game and hope he turns out the be a stud!

  McDaniel is good. Good breaking ball. Needs to hone in on control. Needs time to get stronger, and I think his velo could increase.

• Then you don't have any clue about baseball. I promise you that there may be 5-10 kids in the entire OVC that can hit 90 plus. I just read a stat that only 73% of MAjor league starters average 89 plus. But yet your sayin its "a dime a dozen". I have been around baseball 30 plus years and 1 time had a kid that was 90 plus.

• You're right coach. I dont know anything about it. Played 4 years in the SEC which has 7 teams in the top 10 this year. I haven't played in awhile, but you put me against a 91 to 93 fastball only "thrower" and I will win over 50 percent of the time. Last time I looked a 500 BA was pretty good. Like I said, I wish him nothing but the best. I just saw the score and wondered what happened. I have my answer. Have a good evening.

• Not sure of the speed the McDaniel kid was pitching but the Valle kids were hitting him.The 1st inning there defense let up runs by having 2 or 3 errors. But after that they just hit McDaniel,and not just some of them. Think the Basler kid had 2 triples off of him. He's just a junior. Will have another year until college ball. Should be fine.
