SEMO football team gets much-needed winPosted Sunday, October 28, 2012, at 12:56 PM
The SEMO football team picked up a much-needed victory Saturday, beating winless Austin Peay 48-27 as the Redhawks snapped a 10-game road losing streak dating back to 2010.
But it won't be easy for the Redhawks, who ended an overall three-game losing streak, to get any more victories in their remaining three contests as they attempt to better last year's three-win season. SEMO (3-5, 2-3 OVC) plays its final home game this Saturday, against Eastern Kentucky (6-3, 4-2). The Redhawks then finish with two road contests, Nov. 10 at Eastern Illinois (5-3, 4-1) and Nov. 17 at Murray State (3-5, 2-3). Eastern Kentucky is the defending OVC tri-champion, Eastern Illinois is currently tied for first place in the conference and Murray State has one of the nation's top offenses. |
