The Southeast Missouri State football team remains in search of its first victory of the season as it takes on Eastern Illinois in its Ohio Valley Conference opener Saturday at O'Brien Field in Charleston, Illinois.

Southeast (0-3) and EIU (1-2) will meet for the 25th time on Saturday. The Panthers are coming off a 44-13 defeat against 15th-ranked Illinois State last week in Charleston. The Panthers trailed by 21 points at halftime and were gouged by an ISU offense that racked up 233 yards on the ground. Click here for a full game preview of Saturday's contest.
The Redhawks are coming off a 35-17 loss against Southern Illinois in last week's home opener. Southeast was plagued by a plethora of its own self-inflicted mistakes in the loss, including being penalized 13 times for 143 yards.
