The Southeast Missouri State Department of Athletics announced the hiring of Ryan Napoli as a strength and conditioning coach on Thursday.
Napoli will provide oversight for strength and conditioning of SEMO’s football program and will assist with all other facets of the Redhawks’ strength and conditioning program.
Prior to joining Southeast, Napoli worked as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at North Dakota State. He was an assistant on all five of NDSU’s FCS national championship teams and also coached the wrestling and track and field teams.
Napoli joined the NDSU staff as an intern in May 2011 before becoming a graduate assistant in September 2011. He was promoted to be a full-time assistant in May 2013.
Before his time with the Bison, Napoli worked as a volunteer intern at the Air Force Academy from August 2010 to May 2011.
A 2010 graduate of Simpson College, Napoli served as an undergraduate strength and conditioning assistant at his alma mater from 2007-2010. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and was a three-year letterman for the Simpson wrestling team, competing at 174 and 184 pounds.
Napoli recently complete his master’s degree in exercise science at NDSU.
