Updated: Weathers alters Southeast baseball, softball schedules

The schedule changes continue for the Southeast Missouri State baseball team.

The Redhawks announced Wednesday evening that they've added a game Thursday against Alcorn State.

Southeast (2-1) will face the Braves at 5 p.m. in Lorman, Mississippi, before continuing to Lake Charles, Louisiana for a weekend series against Illinois State.

The Redhawks, who were slated to host the ISU Redbirds this weekend, moved the series to the campus of McNeese State University due to the weather in Cape Girardeau.

Game 1 is set for 2 p.m. Friday and the series will conclude with games at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday.

Southeast's midweek game at Arkansas State also was pushed back a day. The Redhawks will face the Red Wolves at 6 p.m. on February 25 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

The Memphis Blues City Classic, which the Southeast softball team was slated to compete in this weekend, has been cancelled due to weather.

The Redhawks were supposed to play four games in the tournament against Northern Iowa, Butler, Nicholls State and Memphis. The tournament has not been rescheduled at this time.

Southeast's next contests are scheduled against UMKC, Missouri State and Saint Louis, as part of the All-Missouri Cancer Classic in Springfield, Missouri, on Feb. 28 and March 1.
