Live Saturday: Playoff Updates from Farmington

Posted Saturday, March 3, 2012, at 2:11 PM

I've elected to make the 131-mile drive to Farmington to watch the Class 4 state basketball regionals.

If I have cell phone service I will provide live updates for the Dexter-Miller Academy girls basketball game and Sikeston-Imagine College Prep boys basketball game.

The girls game is slated for 6 p.m. at the Farmington Civic Center and the boys game will follow at 7:45 p.m.

Other reporters will have stories on the games.

The updates will be posted in the comments section in this blog. Scroll down to view them.

Imagine leads Sikeston 36-33 at halftime.

-- Posted by Dustin Ward on Sat, Mar 3, 2012, at 8:38 PM

Man...sounds like a good one. I'm guessing Imagine will have to withstand a furious Sikeston run in the early 3rd quarter. If they can stick around for 4 or 5 minutes, they have a good shot. If they let Sikeston make a run, it may be over.

-- Posted by FarmBoy06 on Sat, Mar 3, 2012, at 8:40 PM

I still say Sikeston will win this game! Teams have played them tough through 2 quarters but not many make it through 4

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Sat, Mar 3, 2012, at 8:41 PM

wish this was on the radio somewhere??

-- Posted by RRT1 on Sat, Mar 3, 2012, at 8:41 PM

Like I said, first half of the 3rd ouht to give a pretty good idea if Imagine can hang or not. Not going to act like I'm pulling for Sikeston, but I have a feeling they might pull away in the 3rd.
