Tri-County Tournament Postponed: Updated BracketsPosted Thursday, February 9, 2012, at 2:41 PM
Three of the four Tri-County Conference Tournament varsity boys basketball games have been postponed Monday.
The first round game between No. 8 seeded Delta C-7 and No. 9 seeded Cooter has been moved to 1 p.m. Monday at Delta C-7. Ward graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a minor in psychology. He also has 21-hour concentration in environmental science, social studies and education. Ward started following sports in Southeast Missouri when he was five-years-old in 1991. In the 2009-10 basketball season, he watched 84 varsity basketball teams play a total of 147 varsity games. He also attended the state basketball, baseball and volleyball tournaments last season. His favorite baseball memory is watching the St. Louis Cardinals defeat the Detroit Tigers in the 2006 World Series. Ward completed an internship in the summer of 2010 at semoball.com. During the internship he had the opportunity to visit and photograph the athletic facilities at all 58 semoball schools. He also researched the district and state championship histories of 55 schools and used the Cover it Live application to cover the Senior Babe Ruth state baseball tournament. The semi's and the finals will be great to watch. Some loaded teams in this tourney. If I wasn't in Puxico next week, i'd make a trip to Clarkton and watch them.
This will be a great tourney. Risco and Holcomb will be the clear favorites going in, but just like the BCT, I can see any of the top 4 seeds winning it all.
